The NBA G League serves as the official minor league of the National Basketball Association (NBA), dedicated to the development of players, coaches, officials, and front-office staff for the professional basketball landscape. Operating as a research and development hub, it features 31 teams, 30 of which have affiliations with NBA teams, providing an avenue for aspiring talent to showcase their skills in a competitive and family-friendly environment.
In addition to traditional G League play, it housed the innovative NBA G League Ignite, a unique program aimed at preparing elite young prospects for the NBA Draft through comprehensive training, mentorship, and life skills development. This initiative has successfully placed numerous players into the NBA, establishing the G League as a critical stepping stone for professional athletes. Fans can enjoy elite basketball at accessible prices while participating in various events and community engagement initiatives that enrich the basketball experience.
