TraumaNB

Trauma NB is New Brunswick’s provincial lead agency for injury prevention and a central resource for trauma care across the province. Its work brings together injury prevention initiatives with leadership and coordination in clinical care, education, and research related to serious and critical injuries. The organization serves healthcare professionals as well as people across New Brunswick, recognizing that trauma is the leading cause of death among residents aged 1 to 44.

Trauma NB provides clinical guidance through consensus statements and supports continuing education with courses for healthcare professionals. It also works to increase the province’s capacity for trauma research and shares resources on topics including concussions, falls, home safety, and road and trail safety. Its website offers information about trauma patient transfer, the trauma registry, research, and professional learning, alongside public awareness campaigns promoting safer activities throughout the year. Through these services and resources, Trauma NB aims to help prevent injuries and strengthen care for people affected by serious trauma in New Brunswick.
