NBVV district groningen

NBVV District Groningen is the regional district of the Nederlandse Bond van Vogelliefhebbers, the Dutch association for bird enthusiasts. It brings together 15 bird clubs across the province of Groningen, with these local associations serving as the foundation of the district. The district supports opportunities for bird lovers to join the bond and encourages the exchange of knowledge and information among members, particularly on legislation and standards relating to bird health and welfare.

Its guidance includes principles for the responsible hobbyist keeping and breeding of aviary and cage birds, summarized in a code of conduct and supported by the bond’s 2023 reference manual. Members are expected to follow the bond’s policies. Local clubs can put forward candidates for district committee roles and share their views on issues affecting the bond or district, especially at the spring and autumn meetings.

The website provides district news, an agenda, club contacts, archival material, and information about district shows, including past events, photographs, and results
