The North Carolina Statewide Independent Living Council (NC SILC) is a vital organization established in 2006 to comply with the Federal Law, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. NC SILC collaborates with the NC Centers for Independent Living to identify the needs of individuals with disabilities in the state and develop a comprehensive 3-year plan to address them.
