About NC Board of Pharmacy
The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP) is a regulatory authority overseeing the licensure and registration of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacies, dispensing physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and DME suppliers in the state. NCBOP offers a range of services including license verification, address changes, disciplinary actions, and online renewals for various healthcare professionals and facilities. The Board also provides resources for new permit holders, continuing education opportunities, and updates on pharmacy laws and rules.
As of June 12, 2024, NCBOP has launched an updated website with improved navigation and user-friendly interface. Pharmacists and technicians can stay updated on CE programs through the website. NCBOP encourages public participation through public hearings and comment periods on proposed rule amendments, ensuring regulatory transparency and accountability.
