The North Carolina Folk Festival is a nonprofit organization that celebrates and honors the rich cultural traditions and creativity of communities through music, dance, food, crafts, and other folk arts. Our signature annual event, the NC Folk Fest, is a three-day extravaganza held in downtown Greensboro every September. With over 300 artists performing on multiple stages, it is one of the fastest growing free festivals in the Southeast.
The festival showcases a diverse lineup of global artists, American roots performers, and local flavors. From continuous performances to handmade crafts, delicious food, and family fun, the NC Folk Fest attracts large crowds and contributes to community vibrancy and inclusivity. We also host various events throughout the year, such as the Songs of Hope & Justice Concert and the Folk Fest 5K.
