North Carolina Force Hockey is a youth hockey organization serving players in the Raleigh area. Its website highlights the Strand Plus/Minus, a spring and summer program designed to help young players stay in game shape while developing creativity and understanding of the full-ice game. Rather than receiving coaching from the bench, participants play continuous 5-on-5 hockey, with one-minute shifts and new linemates each week. Individual plus/minus results accumulate throughout the sessions, and weekly prizes recognize winning teams and goaltenders; tournament prizes are also awarded to top players and a top goaltender.
The 2023 summer program offered seven sessions across age-based divisions, with games at Cary Ice House and Garner Ice House. Registration fees were listed as $375 for players and $225 for goalies, with a sibling discount available. The site also provided payment options and contact information for program questions. North Carolina Force Hockey notes that the NC Golden Bears have a separate website for their current information.
