To apply, individuals can use ePASS or HealthCare.gov online, in person, by phone, or through mail. Processing times vary, with online applications typically processed faster. Eligibility criteria include residence in North Carolina, age between 19 and 64, and meeting income thresholds. Parents who previously did not qualify may now be eligible under the expanded rules. The application process may take up to 45 days, with coverage starting based on the application date. Retroactive coverage for up to three months prior to application is available.
