About NCPIC
Northern California PET Imaging Center (NCPIC) is a not-for-profit medical imaging provider serving patients and care teams across the region. Founded in 1992 as the nation’s first freestanding independent PET center, NCPIC has completed more than 75,000 PET/CT exams and brings over 30 years of experience to molecular imaging. It operates locations in Sacramento and Rocklin, California.
The center provides PET/CT imaging for a range of clinical needs, including oncology, urology, and dementia care. Its imaging services include FDG, PSMA, amyloid, neuroendocrine tumor (NET) Dotatate, and estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer imaging with Cerianna. NCPIC also supports clinical research and offers resources for patients and providers, such as scheduling, exam preparation guidance, insurance information, pricing details, and peer-to-peer physician consultations.
NCPIC emphasizes access to current imaging technology, compassionate and expert care, and transparent pricing. It reports being in-network with most insurance plans and states that eligible patients may save up to 80% compared with other costs. The center is ACR accredited and staffed by board-certified nuclear medicine physicians.
