Smart Start

Smart Start is a brand that is dedicated to ensuring the healthy growth and development of young children. They bring together all the individuals involved in a child's life to provide them with everything they need during those critical early years. With a focus on North Carolina, Smart Start works in partnership with the North Carolina Partnership for Children to offer a range of products and services.

Smart Start's initiatives include raising the quality of early care and education across the state. They achieve this by addressing individual community needs, providing infrastructure support for evidence-based services, and offering professional development opportunities. As a result, the number of children in 4 and 5 star educational programs has significantly increased.

The brand also recognizes the importance of early literacy and offers programs such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which provides free books each month to children aged birth to 5. Additionally, they support families through parent education programs and home visiting programs, empowering parents to provide the best possible support and care for their children. Smart Start’s commitment to advancing child health is evident through partnerships with medical providers and health departments.

Their initiatives focus on promoting healthy behavior patterns, preventing childhood obesity, and ensuring young children receive developmental screenings and related services. Overall, Smart Start is driven by the belief that the earliest years of childhood are critical and that everyone has a stake in providing children with the experiences and support they need to thrive. Through their various programs and partnerships, they are making a positive impact on the lives of children and families across North Carolina
