About National Council of Women of Queensland Inc
The National Council of Women of Queensland (NCWQ) is a non-party-political, non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization with a mission to empower women and families and promote equal status for women in law and fact. As an umbrella organization with humanitarian and educational objectives, NCWQ aims to raise awareness among its members about their rights and responsibilities as citizens and encourages their active participation in various aspects of community life. Key activities of NCWQ include implementing an annual Bursary Program, undertaking issue reporting, and publishing eBulletins to keep members informed.
Additionally, NCWQ unites women's and men's societies into an organization that fosters mutual counsel and cooperation. The council also works as a voice for women at state and regional levels, as well as connecting with women across Australia and the International Council of Women to contribute to the implementation of their plans of action and policies. With a rich history dating back to 1905, NCWQ has played a vital role in addressing numerous community needs and establishing organizations to cater to special requirements.
Today, NCWQ continues to advocate for gender equality, supporting women's rights, and addressing various social issues. To get involved and support their mission, you can become a member, join their management committee or advisers panel, attend their events, refer women-related issues to them, and connect with them on Facebook.
