NDF

The National Defence Fund (NDF) is dedicated to enhancing the welfare of members of the Armed Forces, including Para Military Forces, and their dependents through voluntary donations. Established under the guidance of an Executive Committee led by the Prime Minister, the fund manages contributions in cash and kind to promote national defense efforts effectively. It plays a vital role in funding various programs, most notably the "PM's Scholarship Scheme," which provides financial assistance to the widows and wards of deceased military personnel, granting monthly scholarships for technical and postgraduate education.

In addition to educational support, the NDF allocates funds for welfare activities, including an annual grant to the Special Protection Group Family Welfare Fund, benefitting the families of personnel. The fund also supports the purchase of educational materials for the Armed Forces and the Coast Guard, ensuring that servicemen and women have access to essential resources. With transparency in its operations, the NDF's activities foster a strong sense of community and support for those who serve the nation.
