NAQA'A Desalination Plant L. L. C is a leading brand in the water industry, offering innovative solutions to meet the growing demand for fresh water in the United Arab Emirates.
With a mission to enhance water capacity and reduce reliance on groundwater resources, NAQA'A has built one of the world's largest desalination plants, boasting a staggering capacity of 150 MIGD (682,000m3/day). Backed by a consortium consisting of Mubadala, ACWA Power, and Etihad Water & Electricity, the plant utilizes cutting-edge Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) technology to produce a reliable supply of clean water. 5 hectares of land, with intake and outfall facilities extending into the marine environment. NAQA'A operates the plant in partnership with NOMAC, a subsidiary of ACWA Power, and sells its output through a 35-year water purchase agreement with Etihad Water & Electricity.
