The Nebraska Aviation Trades Association (NATA) is a nonprofit state trade association representing Nebraska’s aerial application industry and aviation-related businesses. Founded in Omaha in 1948, it has grown to represent nearly 200 agricultural aviation operators, along with members from allied industries that supply agricultural aircraft owners and operators in Nebraska and surrounding states.
NATA works to strengthen communication among its members and provide educational opportunities and current information on Nebraska’s aviation-related industries. The association also supports efforts to advance mutually beneficial legislation and promote agricultural aviation as a responsible, safety-conscious industry. Membership resources include an application process, member benefits, directories, convention information, and scholarship resources.
NATA also connects operators and pilots with Operation S.A.F.E., a program supported in Nebraska by BASF that helps assess the efficiency and uniformity of aircraft applications through pattern testing. The association shares information about arranging tests and recognizes support from Syngenta for dye cards. Through these services and resources, NATA helps serve the needs of agricultural aviation professionals.
