NEC UK is a parent-led registered charity supporting families affected by necrotising enterocolitis (NEC), a serious condition affecting babies. Working with a multidisciplinary team of medical advisers, the charity provides information and practical and emotional support to families navigating medical or surgical NEC, recovery, and related challenges. Its services include online support groups, telephone, text and email support, family events, parent care packs, nappy support, and resources for hospital stays and bereavement.

NEC UK also shares guidance on symptoms, causes, treatment, stomas, prognosis, and complications, alongside information about short bowel syndrome and nutritional support. The charity aims to protect the physical and mental health of affected families and build a world without NEC. It supports research into the condition, advocates for improvements in neonatal care and family support, and works to raise public awareness and understanding.
