About Nederlandse School
Welcome to the Koningin Máxima School, part of the Vereniging Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur Sofia (NTC Sofia), offering education to around 45 Dutch-speaking children in Sofia aged 2. 5-18 years old. Our school is dedicated to providing a solid foundation in Dutch language and culture for Dutch-speaking children in Bulgaria.
We prioritize delivering engaging education to ensure children enjoy learning Dutch language and culture. Our curriculum is designed to seamlessly integrate students moving to the Netherlands or Flanders, using methods commonly employed in these regions. Students work towards a CNAVT exam enabling them to pursue higher education in the Netherlands or Flanders.
Classes are held on Saturdays at St. George International School & Preschool, a modern school facility in Sofia. In addition to Saturday classes focusing on language, culture, and literature, students from grade 3 onwards have weekly online lessons emphasizing spelling and grammar.
