New England Disabled Sports (NEDS) is a nationally recognized adaptive sports program serving adults and children with physical or cognitive disabilities. Its approach emphasizes each participant’s abilities, offering year-round instruction and training designed to help student-athletes take part in sports and build confidence. Located in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, NEDS provides adaptive skiing and snowboarding, along with seasonal programs and experiences that include cycling, paddle sports, and golf.
The organization also hosts camps and special events, including programs for veterans, and supports participation through lessons and, when funding allows, assistance with lodging and meals. NEDS brings together athletes, instructors, volunteers, and donors to create an encouraging community where people can learn, pursue personal goals, and enjoy sports with others. Staff and volunteer coaches help participants become familiar with adaptive equipment and develop their skills.
Through its programs, events, and community partnerships, NEDS works to make active recreation more accessible for people with disabilities throughout the year
