NPO法人ねこほーむ

NPO Nekohome is a Japanese nonprofit organization that provides a safe, long-term home for cats whose owners can no longer care for them because of illness, hospitalization, relocation, financial hardship, age, or other circumstances. Its mission is to protect cats from losing their place to live and to care for them responsibly throughout their lives.

The organization offers consultations about accepting cats, explains eligibility and procedures, and discusses a requested contribution toward each cat’s lifetime food, litter, and care costs. The amount depends on the cat’s age and health and is discussed individually. Care is tailored to each cat’s personality and condition in a clean, secure environment. Nekohome also aims to maintain connections with owners and provide updates where possible.

Depending on the owner’s wishes and the circumstances, cats may remain at the facility for lifelong care or be matched with adoptive families. The organization provides guidance through inquiry, consultation, arrangements, and handover, and welcomes visits by prior appointment.
