Nelda

Nelda Foundation is a registered non-profit company in Pune that has been dedicated to tree plantation projects since June 2016. As their name suggests, Nelda, which means 'Champion' in Irish, represents the champions among us who work tirelessly to nurture and protect trees for a greener future. At Nelda Foundation, they understand that taking care of the environment is a shared responsibility, and they strive to involve as many people as possible in their mission.

Their philosophy focuses on principles such as working together, involving youngsters, planting native species, and ensuring the survival and self-sustainability of the trees they plant. Nelda Foundation also believes in the importance of digital awareness, utilizing social media platforms to spread their message far and wide. With a goal of planting and growing a billion trees by 2041, Nelda Foundation has already planted and currently maintains thousands of trees in the Pune region.

They organize public events and welcome volunteers, companies, NGOs, and schools to participate and contribute to their cause. As Nelda Foundation looks towards the future, they plan to expand their projects to multiple locations, supported by CSR funding and donations.
