About Nelson Grass Farm
Nelson Grass Farm, located just north of Minneapolis, is a family-run local farm that takes pride in providing high-quality products while prioritizing the well-being of their animals and the land. Ryan and Desiree, the founders of the farm, bring their expertise in entrepreneurship and biology to ensure the best practices are implemented. Since establishing their farm in 2012, Nelson Grass Farm has gradually expanded their offerings.
They began by selling pastured broiler chicken in July, followed by eggs in September, and pork in November. Today, their farm includes a diverse range of animals, including 200 broiler chickens, 50 laying hens, and 8 pigs. One of the farm's key focuses is regenerative farming practices, which have significantly improved the soil quality and plant growth.
This dedication to environmentally friendly and sustainable methods results in nutrient-dense, flavorful food for both their family and customers.
