Nematologia

The Sociedade Brasileira de Nematologia (SBN) is a Brazilian nonprofit scientific organization founded in 1974 to promote knowledge and collaboration among professionals working with nematodes. With a focus on agricultural nematology and plant-parasitic nematodes relevant to Brazil, it brings together researchers, specialists, and companies across the field.

SBN promotes the Congresso Brasileiro de Nematologia, a long-running national meeting for sharing research, discussing challenges, and connecting participants with solutions. It also supports and publicizes other nematology-related events and offers opportunities for professional development through courses and updates on research and developments in the discipline.

Its website serves as an educational and professional resource, featuring publications, books and manuals, conference proceedings, news, research materials, nematode information sheets, and a collection of historical documents and media. The society also shares opportunities and announcements, recognizes contributions through awards and contests, and provides a dedicated area for members. Membership benefits include early access to opportunities, professional profile visibility for members in good standing, and discounts on Congress registration.
