The Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC) provides educational technology solutions and support to school communities in New York. Its work includes technical support, instructional technology guidance, and professional learning through Model Schools trainings, where educators explore education technology practices and tools. NERIC also supports distance learning, email spam filtering, broadband connectivity, and student assessment processes. The organization reports that its distance learning service connects 3,000 students with peers statewide each day, while its spam filtering blocks more than 30,000 unwanted emails daily.

It has enabled 275 broadband connections for 137 schools and BOCES across 17 counties, and securely scans and sends student test sheets to the New York State Education Department. With offices in Albany and Plattsburgh, NERIC emphasizes timely customer service and practical support for the educational communities it serves
