Nesbits Auctions

Nesbits is an auction house and appraisal business based in Southsea, Portsmouth, serving buyers and sellers of fine art and antiques. Established in 1921, it describes itself as the South Coast’s longest-established auction house and holds regular auctions for a wide range of items. Its categories include fine art and antique furniture, maritime objects, militaria and ethnographica, vintage toys and collectables, stamps, postcards, coins, silver, watches and jewellery.

Nesbits supports buyers with catalogue access and several bidding options, including in-person, telephone, online and absentee bidding. For sellers, it provides auction guidance, private sales and specialist sales, as well as bespoke auctions for large single-owner collections. Valuation services are available for probate and insurance purposes, through enquiries and valuation days.
