NEST Taekwon-Do is a martial arts school founded in 2012 by Mr Christopher Black, offering ITF Taekwon-Do training across the North East of England. Classes are available for children and adults in Redcar, Marske, Skelton and Darlington, welcoming beginners and experienced practitioners of all skill levels. The school teaches a traditional Korean martial art that combines combat techniques, practical self-defence, sport, exercise and philosophy.
Training brings together fitness drills, self-defence techniques and confidence-building exercises in a supportive, inclusive environment. Students can develop strength, flexibility, endurance, focus and self-discipline while connecting with a local community. NEST has taught and mentored more than 650 students, aged 4 to 84, and is proud to have produced British, European and World champions.
Its instructors are qualified and registered with the British Taekwon-Do Council and the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association. The school is insured, conducts DBS checks and has safeguarding measures in place. NEST Taekwon-Do invites people to get in touch to learn about classes or join its community.
