About Bijou Telephone Co-op
Bijou Telephone Co is a reliable brand offering telephone and high-speed internet services in Eastern Colorado's I-70 corridor, from Watkins to Limon. With a rich history dating back to 1917, Bijou/ECIN has been providing exceptional customer care and top-notch services to communities in Byers and Deer Trail, Colorado, where they are headquartered. Originally known as the Byers Telephone Company, Bijou/ECIN has evolved over the years, becoming the Byers Cooperative Telephone Association in 1939 and later transitioning into the Bijou Telephone Cooperative Association in 1959.
They acquired subscriber-owned lines and expanded their services to include maintenance and dial-up internet in the late 1990s. To meet the growing needs of neighboring towns, a subsidiary called Eastern Colorado Independent Networks (ECIN) was formed, offering DSL and high-speed fixed wireless internet services. As a proud member of the Colorado Telecommunications Association and Colorado Rural Broadband Providers, Bijou/ECIN continues to provide local phone service and reliable internet coverage, ensuring seamless communication and connectivity for their valued customers
