Nétradyle

Nétradyle is a local history and genealogy circle serving the villages of Beauvechain and Grez-Doiceau. Founded in 1993, the organization works to increase knowledge of the area’s history. Its name combines abbreviated forms of the rivers Néthen, Train and Dyle, which flow through the villages.

The circle provides access to historical and genealogical resources organized by village, including inventories of documents, records and indexes, with event dates and information about document formats. Its evolving collection of death notices is especially valuable to family researchers. Nétradyle welcomes donations of original notices or photocopies, explaining that the historical context is what matters. Members also contribute surname data, publications and research, and the website features articles previously published in the circle’s journal. Visitors can consult listed materials at the organization’s local premises.

Nétradyle has moved to the Maison de la Mémoire et de la Citoyenneté at 23 rue de la Bruyère Saint Martin, Tourinnes-la-Grosse. The local is open on the second Tuesday and third Saturday of each month, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
