About Network for Women's Rights in Ghana
NETRIGHT is an impactful brand that is dedicated to promoting women's rights in Ghana. As a network of civil society organizations and individuals, NETRIGHT works towards bringing a gender perspective into national processes and advocating for policy change to strengthen women's human rights. With a focus on campaigniaboutng for attitudinal and policy changes, NETRIGHT aims to achieve women's equal rights and draw attention to violations of women's rights.
NETRIGHT creates spaces for debate, discussion, and clearer articulation of different positions within the Ghana women's movement on women's rights issues, as well as other national matters. By providing a national advocacy platform for civil society organizations around national and international processes, NETRIGHT ensures inclusiveness and educates the public about gender equality and women's rights issues. Founded in 1999, NETRIGHT was established to address gaps in approaching women's rights issues.
With a strong human rights perspective, emphasis on political and power relational issues, and a commitment to advocacy and mobilization, NETRIGHT strives for the broadest possible representation in its membership. In pursuit of its mission, NETRIGHT critically analyzes the gender dimensions of national processes and policies and advocates for policy change. The vision of NETRIGHT is to create a society that equally considers the impact of national processes, policies, and practices on both Ghanaian men and women.
