Netsanet Children's Village

Netsanet Children’s Village is a nonprofit organization supporting special needs, abandoned, and orphaned children, as well as severely impoverished children and families in southern Ethiopia. Its work centers on providing individualized care and helping children grow into educated, compassionate, and self-sufficient members of society. Services include housing, nutrition, clothing, medical care, and education, delivered through facilities such as an infant transitional home, specialized care homes, group homes, and a home for teenage boys.

The village’s specialized care program provides round-the-clock nursing, medical attention, individualized education plans, and access to a doctor 24 hours a day. It serves approximately 200 children with special needs, including 62 medically fragile children who require continuous care. Netsanet also operates Netsanet Kids Academy and offers community programs, including outreach for families, medical outreach, family preservation, and a growth program for single mothers.
