NEU

The National Education Union (NEU) is a UK trade union representing educators and other staff working across schools, colleges and related settings. It supports members including teachers, school leaders, supply staff, early years and support staff, further education professionals, students and trainees. The union provides workplace representation, advice on employment rights, pay, pensions, contracts, workload, health and safety, discrimination and family rights, alongside resources for resolving workplace issues and engaging with management.

The NEU campaigns on education policy and working conditions, with priorities including better school funding and restoring teacher pay. Its work also covers assessment, curriculum, child poverty, school inspection, equality, special educational needs and climate change. Members and representatives can access training, professional development, teaching resources, model policies, publications, events and networks. The union supports workplace representatives and encourages members to take part in campaigns, elections and local activities. It also provides membership options for students and qualified educators, information on benefits and subscription rates, and resources tailored to different education roles.
