About Neurological Alliance Australia
Neurological Alliance Australia is a crucial collective of not-for-profit peak organizations in Australia, dedicated to representing individuals, both adults and children, living with progressive neurological, neuro-muscular conditions, or neurological disorders. Working collaboratively, the alliance aims to advocate for improved quality of life and funding for research for those affected by these conditions.
Ahead of the 2022 Federal Election, the NAA outlined key issues affecting the 1 in 6 Australians living with such conditions, including funding for medical research, age discrimination in NDIS eligibility, strengthening the NDIS, and equal access to assistive technology. The alliance is actively involved in various submissions, consultations, and position statements focused on advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with neurological conditions.
