NEV Escrime

NEV Escrime, or Nord Est Vendée Escrime, is a sports and arts association based at Salle de la Demoiselle in Les Herbiers, Vendée. It welcomes children, teenagers and adults from age five, with courses for beginners and more experienced participants. The club offers four disciplines: introductory fencing, artistic fencing, playful fencing and choreographed lightsaber combat. Activities range from games that develop coordination and balance to staged swordplay with capes and props, adventure-style sessions using foam weapons, and lightsaber choreography with polycarbonate blades.

NEV Escrime also takes part in galas, competitions and stage performances, bringing together sport, creativity and spectacle. Its educators hold federal level-two qualifications and bring extensive fencing and performance experience. The club describes its approach as welcoming and supportive, helping members progress at their own pace. Courses are scheduled throughout the week, with different disciplines offered on different days. Online registration is available for the 2026–2027 season, and prospective members can contact the club by email or visit its website for course times, fees and further details.
