New Forest Gestüt Ahornhof is a family-run New Forest pony stud located in Wispenstein, near Alfeld in Germany. The farm combines pony breeding with the training of young ponies, aiming to produce expressive, kind-tempered animals suited to sport and leisure. Its facilities include spacious stables, extensive pastures, a sand paddock, a dressage arena, a lungeing circle and an indoor riding hall, with nearby countryside for trail rides.
The stud describes its breeding programme as small-scale and selective. It works with premium mares and carefully chosen stallions, considering the ancestry on both sides to support type, balanced temperaments and athletic ability. The ponies’ bloodlines include animals with achievements in dressage, show jumping and eventing, including at international level. The website features stallions, mares, foals and ponies offered for sale, as well as news, photographs and information about the New Forest breed. Ahornhof welcomes visitors who want to see the ponies and their training, and invites prospective owners to enquire about available animals.
