NBO is a basketball club based in Oberhausen, Germany, bringing together competitive women’s teams and a broad youth programme. Its first women’s team competes in the 2. Bundesliga, while the second and third teams play in the Oberliga and Landesliga. Youth squads span age groups from under-10 to under-18, with teams competing in regional and upper-level leagues. The club offers regular training at Sporthalle Ost and the Stötzner hall, and welcomes prospective players to request a trial session.
A central part of NBO’s work is developing young players and encouraging more girls to take up basketball. Its four-day talent camp introduces girls aged 10 to 12 to the sport through varied activities, basketball skills training and an enjoyable first experience. The club draws on its established youth programme to identify talent and support players’ development. NBO also shares team news, match updates and event information, and invites people to get involved through membership and sponsorship.
