Newborn Care

Newborn Care Kraamzorg provides personalized maternity and newborn care in Wilnis and the wider De Ronde Venen region. Run by independent maternity-care professional Elsa Alblas, the service offers families one familiar caregiver from the initial introduction through the final day of the postnatal week. Elsa has a nursing background specializing in obstetrics and has worked in maternity care at home since 2016.

Care is tailored to each family and includes daily checks on mother and baby, guidance with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, practical information and instruction, and support for partners and other children. Elsa also welcomes visitors and, for home births, assists the midwife and remains for at least two hours afterward. If the birth takes place in hospital, care begins once mother and baby return home.

Families can arrange an early introduction, followed by an intake around week 34 to discuss their preferences. Elsa is available around the clock by phone and email, with regional colleagues available as backup if needed.
