New Carnival is an Isle of Wight community arts organisation and not-for-profit company that creates outdoor celebratory arts events. Its vision is “Ignited Creativity, United Community,” and its mission is to champion inclusive creativity for children, young people and emerging artists through arts rooted in place and culture. New Carnival also develops projects such as Folktastic Isle, which explores Isle of Wight folklore, and the Open Road Carnival, presented as a carnival with a positive community impact. Through Learn With Us, it offers activities for teachers and schools, courses, workshops and creative resources. A youth project provides further opportunities for young people to take part in the arts, while the organisation also works with creative practitioners and artists.
