New Day Support

New Day Support is an Adelaide-based service helping children and families build confidence and navigate social and emotional challenges. It supports children with Autism, ADHD and other neurodivergences, as well as young people who find it difficult to make friends, understand social situations, manage emotions or feel included. The service is led by Michelle, a qualified counsellor and parent of autistic and ADHD children, whose training includes counselling, community services, domestic abuse response and suicide prevention.

A central offering is What’s the Buzz?, a social and emotional literacy program for young people. Through practical learning, participants develop skills in empathy, social awareness, adapting to changing situations and reciprocal communication. The program is particularly suited to children who face social or emotional difficulties and may be claimable through eligible NDIS plans or self-managed budgets. New Day Support also provides counselling for people seeking help to work through personal challenges. For additional options, the organisation connects families with Serenity Social & Support Services, which runs What’s the Buzz? sessions and offers support work, mentoring, therapy assistance, support coordination, workshops, activities and events.
