New Forest Sailability

New Forest Sailability is a charitable organisation based at Spinnaker Sailing Club on Spinnaker Lake in Ringwood. Its aim is to make dinghy sailing accessible to people of all ages and with any disability, offering a welcoming, relaxed environment where sailors can learn, enjoy a trip with a crew member, or take part in racing. Sailing and training run from April to October, with sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays and race training and sailing development on Thursdays. Visitors can contact the team to arrange a trial sail or come by during sailing hours.

The club’s facilities are designed to support accessible participation. The clubhouse is wheelchair accessible, with free parking and views across the lake. A wheelchair-friendly pontoon has safety rails, volunteer assistance and three C-Crane personnel hoists to help sailors transfer safely and comfortably into boats. The organisation also provides buoyancy aids, and its Pioneer Multi boat has a bow-door system for wheelchair access.
