New Hope Bird Alliance (NHBA), formerly New Hope Audubon Society, is a local chapter of National Audubon serving Durham, Orange, and northern Chatham counties in North Carolina. With close ties to Audubon NC, the organization works to protect birds, wildlife, and local habitats through conservation, education, advocacy, and outdoor enjoyment.

NHBA welcomes people of all experience levels to explore birding through guided outings, field trips, local birding resources, bird counts, and special events. Its community science activities include opportunities to monitor chimney swifts and observe migrating birds. The alliance also promotes bird-friendly habitats with certification guidance, native plant resources, and advice on managing landscapes and reducing risks to wildlife.

Educational offerings include programs, activities, resources for educators, and a bilingual bird guide for youth. Members and supporters can join meetings, volunteer, participate in advocacy, or contribute to conservation initiatives and grants. NHBA also offers a shop featuring bird-related merchandise, including anniversary designs, and runs an annual fundraising bird seed sale.
