New Nomad Institute is a research and action institute dedicated to exploring the deep-rooted wisdom of nomadic societies and leveraging these insights to combat the climate crisis. Based at the intersection of research and education, we address challenges at the individual, community, and national levels. Our core research area is nomadism in Mongolia, where a significant portion of the population still adheres to traditional nomadic pastoralism. The impact of nomadism in Mongolia extends across various aspects of society, including politics, economy, and culture.

We analyze nomadism through four key lenses to generate practical solutions that bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
