New Rider is an established online community for people interested in horse riding, horse training and equine care. Welcoming riders of different ages, backgrounds and experience levels, the forum encourages members to ask questions, share experiences and exchange practical advice through friendly, unbiased discussion. Newcomers can find guidance on starting riding lessons, while returning and experienced riders can connect with others and discuss their goals and challenges.

The community covers a wide range of topics, including rider confidence, training methods, horse health, veterinary care, hoof care, feeding, stable management, tack and saddlery, breeds and genetics, transport, hacking and competition. Dedicated areas address subjects such as riding later in life, disabled riding, and disciplines including dressage, jumping, western, driving and endurance. Members can also keep diaries, talk about other animals, and browse archives of past discussions and advice.

New Rider additionally provides a separate advertising area for free classified adverts. Registration is free, enabling members to join conversations, introduce themselves and participate in this long-running forum community.
