News Cafe South Beach, a storied establishment located at 800 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, has been a cornerstone of the local dining scene since it first opened its doors in 1988. Founded by Mark Soyka, this vibrant café and newsstand quickly transformed from a humble beginning into an iconic hotspot, drawing both locals and tourists with its unique blend of European café culture. Open 24 hours a day, the café became famous for its diverse offerings, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an impressive selection of drinks and desserts. Patrons could enjoy their meals while catching up on international news from the café’s extensive newsstand.
After a brief closure in January 2021, News Cafe has reopened at the newly renovated Tony Hotel South Beach and is managed by the V&E Restaurant Group, known for their successful ventures like Havana 1957 and Cafe Americano. The new iteration aims to preserve the essence of its illustrious past while inviting a new generation to experience its unique atmosphere and culinary delights once more.
