NewsLittle

NewsLittle is an institutional narrative-support program designed to help children and families navigate difficult experiences. It works with hospitals, foundations, educational centers, and public administrations, providing collections of stories tailored to each child and companion guides for their families. The stories feature a child’s familiar attachment object as a reassuring companion, while the guides offer practical, age-appropriate language for conversations at home and between professional appointments.

Resources address situations such as hospitalization, bereavement, displacement, and natural disasters. They can help families discuss medical procedures, explain death, respond to questions about leaving home, and support children facing disruption or uncertainty. Guidance also includes ideas for everyday rituals, ways to address new questions honestly, and signs families may wish to monitor.

NewsLittle aims to extend professional support beyond consultations, helping children express concerns and enabling caregivers to accompany them with clearer words and greater confidence. Institutions can also consider suggested indicators, such as whether families receive and read the materials, questions brought to follow-up appointments, and changes observed by professionals.
