We offer a range of licences to suit a variety of different purposes. The vast majority of Irish publishers are members of NLI so our portfolio includes all of Ireland’s national newspapers, a large selection of regional press and a comprehensive range of magazines. We cover both print and online editions. Our mandate enables us to protect original news content and provide a framework within which we can all legitimately use and benefit from this wealth of information.

Newspaper Licensing Ireland (NLI) is a rights management organisation established in 2002 to facilitate the lawful commercial use of newspaper and magazine content. It provides straightforward, low-cost licensing solutions that allow companies and other organisations to access, copy and share press material while respecting publishers’ copyright and supporting fair remuneration for original news content. Its portfolio covers print and online editions from the vast majority of Irish publishers, including all national newspapers, many regional publications and a broad selection of magazines.
NLI offers licences for different professional needs. The Business Licence gives organisations permission to use, copy and share newspaper and magazine content. The PR Licence enables public relations professionals to supply press content to clients in print or digital formats. Media Monitoring Organisations can use a dedicated MMO Licence framework for commercial monitoring services, while qualifying registered charities can access a discounted Charity Licence with the rights of the Business Licence.
