Newton Labs develops Newton, an authorization layer for onchain transactions that enforces compliance and risk policies directly through smart contracts across chains. The platform lets organizations apply rules involving identity, jurisdiction, sanctions, spending limits, investor eligibility, and vault risk before transactions settle, without centralized gatekeepers. Users can choose prebuilt policies or write custom rules in Rego using onchain and offchain signals, then connect them to smart contracts with a lightweight integration. Newton’s AVS evaluates transactions before settlement, allowing compliant activity to proceed and generating signed onchain receipts that can be verified through Newton Explorer. The platform also supports privacy-preserving verification using zero-knowledge proofs and verifiable credentials.

Newton serves use cases including DeFi vaults, tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, and autonomous financial agents. Its policy tools can address controls such as concentration limits, depeg triggers, transfer restrictions, sanctions screening, velocity limits, and approved payees.
