The New York State Council of the Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization serving members, parishes, and communities across New York State. Its councils, assemblies, and Columbiettes promote charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, support the priesthood, and work to protect human life and strengthen families. Membership is open to practicing Catholic men aged 18 and older who are in union with the Holy See.
The Council coordinates programs and resources focused on faith, family, community, and life. Initiatives include support for clergy and vocations, food assistance, aid during and after pregnancy, religious formation, membership development, and the Pilgrim Icon program. It also offers or shares information about scholarships, charitable campaigns, training, and state events. Members and visitors can access newsletters, directories, forms, insurance information, event calendars, and resources about Blessed Michael McGivney, the orderβs founder. The Council also organizes pilgrimages and statue dedications and invites members to recognize local clergy through its Clergy Spotlight.
