New York Roof Authority is a New York-focused reference site within Authority Network America, part of the New York State Authority Network. It organizes information about roofing systems, regulations, maintenance, and services to help property owners and other readers understand roofing considerations across the state. Its topic guides cover commercial, residential, multifamily, historic, and landmarked buildings, as well as solar panel integration and different roof types and materials.

Readers can explore practical information on inspections, seasonal upkeep, winter risks, storm damage, repairs, replacement decisions, insurance claims, warranties, and roofing costs. The site also addresses roof components and performance, including drainage, flashing, insulation, ventilation, access, and parapet walls. For regulatory topics, it provides reference coverage of building codes, local laws, permits, inspections, energy requirements, cool and green roofs, and contractor licensing.

Additional resources include code records, trade codes, published listings, and sourced news and articles, with options to submit contributions or claim a listing. The authority presents itself as an organized information resource rather than a roofing contractor
