About NEXR Tech
NeXR Technologies SE was a Berlin-based provider of extended reality (XR) products and services, positioning its work around immersive experiences and the virtualised economy. The company developed solutions for businesses in sectors including fashion, fitness, entertainment, health and education. Its offerings included virtual events, live virtual experiences, shows featuring photorealistic avatars, digital avatar creation and motion-capture technology for bringing real-world movement into virtual environments.
NeXR also developed AvatarCloud, an app available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Created alongside its cooperation with RSG Group GmbH, the app enables users to view and track training progress on a personal avatar and carry out body scans. The service displays body measurements, basal metabolic rate, body-fat percentage and other physical parameters, supporting more targeted fitness training for JOHN REED members.
The company’s website reports that insolvency proceedings were opened on 1 August 2023 and that NeXR Technologies SE was dissolved as a result.
