Nextron Energia is a Brazilian clean-energy company that helps households and businesses reduce electricity costs through shared solar power. Customers are digitally connected to energy generated by solar plants across Brazil, without installing rooftop panels, carrying out construction, or making an upfront investment. The service is available to individuals, companies, condominiums, and rural producers, subject to regional availability and average monthly electricity consumption above R$250.
Solar generation creates credits applied to the energy portion of the customer’s utility bill, with discounts of up to 25% on that portion. Customers receive a reduced bill from their local distributor and a separate Nextron invoice; together, the company says, these can total less than the original bill. Enrollment is free, and the first discount typically appears within 60 to 90 days. Through its app, customers can monitor consumption, invoices, and savings.
Nextron also highlights the environmental and community benefits of renewable energy, including lower carbon emissions and support for local jobs and rural solar producers.
