NextStep Raleigh is a state-of-the-art, community-based paralysis recovery and fitness center. We offer affordable standardized activity-based therapy programs and interventions based on research to individuals living with paralysis, including those with spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), cerebral palsy (CP), transverse myelitis, and other neurological conditions. Our center, located in Raleigh, NC, provides the best chance for recovery, independence, and health.

We offer various services, including guided activity-based therapy with certified therapists, neurorecovery training using neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and functional electrical stimulation (FES), and cutting-edge rehabilitation and fitness equipment. Our facilities are equipped with walking aids, standing frames, parallel bars, functional electrical stimulation bikes, vibration training plates, cardiovascular exercise equipment, strength training equipment, and more. We also prioritize creating a fun, supportive, and motivational environment with uplifting music throughout the facility.

NextStep Raleigh was founded with a powerful story in mind. After a life-changing accident, our founder, Michael, went through a remarkable recovery journey at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Inspired by his experience, we aim to bring the same type of therapy and holistic approach to recovery to the Raleigh community.
