NFKA

The Northern Freestyle Karate Association (NFKA) is a community-focused martial arts association serving North Tyneside, Northumberland, the Tyne Valley and surrounding areas since 1990. With more than three decades of experience, it welcomes people of all ages and supports families looking to build fitness, discipline and confidence through karate. NFKA provides freestyle karate training led by experienced, dedicated instructors, with personalised programs focused on each student’s potential, goals and skill development.

Its supportive environment encourages camaraderie and helps students develop self-discipline and a lasting foundation for fitness. The association also offers opportunities to take part in events, including black belt seminars and grading sessions for black and coloured belts. Through its clubs and structured training, NFKA aims to make martial arts accessible and rewarding for individuals and families.

Its website also provides information on club prices, events, sparring, forms and safeguarding, alongside policies and guidance covering student welfare, conduct, health and safety, and data protection
